RAILGUN is an on-chain privacy system for Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proofs to enable confidential transactions and DeFi interactions. Deployed as a set of smart contracts (governed by the RAILGUN DAO), it lets users shield their assets into a private pool and then transact without revealing sender, receiver, token type, or amount on the public ledger. In essence, once assets are shielded, all balances and transfers occur inside RAILGUN’s encrypted system, offering “incognito mode” for Ethereum.
